Physiotherapy with sinusoidal modulated currents, aimed at pain, inflammation and muscle spasm.
Amplipulse therapy is carried out with low-power, sinusoidal modulated alternating currents. The current stimulates muscle and nerve fibres rhythmically.
What it is aimed at
The procedure is used to reduce pain and inflammation, improve circulation, relieve muscle tension and speed tissue repair. Because it settles the nervous system it can also help with sleep.
How it runs
Electrodes are placed over the area being treated; during the session you feel a light, rhythmic tingling — it is not painful. The strength of the current and the length of the session are set by the doctor and adjusted to how you tolerate it.
When Amplipulse therapy is prescribed
- Osteochondrosis and radiculitis
- Disc herniation and protrusion
- Arthritis and osteoarthritis
- Neuralgia
- Paralysis after a stroke
- Curvature of the spine
- Muscular dystrophy
- Rheumatoid and other connective tissue disease
