An examination showing the state of the internal organs, used to plan the course correctly.
Ultrasound is a painless diagnostic method, free of radiation, that shows the state of the internal organs, the changes taking place in the tissues and any accompanying problems.
Its role in a course
Before naftalan treatment begins, ultrasound is an important stage in assessing a guest's general condition. The findings let the doctor judge whether the naftalan procedures are suitable and plan the programme more precisely.
In gynaecological and urological programmes
In these two directions an ultrasound is almost always needed: the programme is not built before the diagnosis is clear. If you hold a scan from the last six months, bring it — the doctor will say whether it needs repeating.
When Ultrasound examination is prescribed
- General assessment before a naftalan course
- Clarifying the diagnosis in gynaecological programmes
- Assessment of the prostate in urological programmes
- Complaints relating to the internal organs
- Monitoring a chronic condition
