The flight from Tashkent to Baku, the road on to Naftalan, and what to weigh when planning a family trip or a longer course.
A trip from Uzbekistan to Naftalan is built through Baku. There is no direct flight from Tashkent to Ganja, so the route comes in two parts: the flight and the road.
Tashkent to Baku
There are regular flights between Tashkent (TAS) and Baku (GYD), and the flight takes about three and a half hours. Because schedules move with the season, the transfer is more precisely booked once you hold the ticket — the driver waits against your flight number and the pickup holds if the flight is late.
Baku to Naftalan
320 km remain. A transfer booked through the hotel takes close to four hours by road; the alternative is the Baku–Ganja fast train, about 3.5 hours, with Goran the nearest railway point to Naftalan. Travelling as a family or a larger group, a minivan is arranged — tell us the number of people and suitcases when you book.
Travelling as a family
A good share of guests from Uzbekistan arrive as a family, often with one parent on a course and the rest on holiday. Two things are worth settling in advance: the accommodation — a two-bedroom family suite sleeps up to six — and what the children will do. Whether a child is prescribed any procedure is an individual question and only the doctor answers it.
How many days to plan
Guests travelling a long way usually choose a 10 or 14-night programme. On the day you arrive there is a medical examination and the necessary tests, and the procedures begin the following day — count that day when you choose your dates. The exact length follows from what the examination finds.
Documents, language and payment
Entry rules depend on citizenship and are updated from time to time — they should be checked at an official source; we will send a booking confirmation if you need one. Medical papers worth bringing: recent tests, a discharge summary for any chronic condition and your medication list. Reception and the medical block work in Russian.
One piece of advice
Before you buy the ticket, send us your complaint and your documents. Our doctors will write back on whether a course suits you and roughly how long it should be — which is the thing most worth knowing before a long journey.
