For guests from Kazakhstan the route almost always runs through Baku — there is no direct flight to Ganja. That lengthens the trip a little, but it simplifies the planning: one flight, one transfer.
Flying from Almaty and Astana
There are regular flights from Almaty (ALA) and Astana (NQZ) to Baku (GYD), and the flight takes about three hours. Schedules shift with the season, so it is more precise to book the transfer once you hold the ticket — the driver waits against your flight number.
Baku to Naftalan
The remaining distance is 320 km. Three ways: a transfer booked through the hotel (close to four hours by road), a hire car, or the Baku–Ganja fast train (about 3.5 hours; the nearest railway point to Naftalan is Goran station, and a transfer covers the last leg). For a large family or a group, a minivan can be arranged.
Seeing Baku as well
Setting out on a four-hour drive straight after a long flight does not suit everyone. Many guests spend a night or two in Baku and travel on afterwards: it breaks the journey and gives you the capital. Count those two days when you pick your course dates.
How long the course should be
Guests coming from far away usually choose a 10 or 14-night programme — a short course does not justify a long journey. The exact length follows from your complaint and the first examination. A doctor sees you on the day you arrive and the procedures begin the next day.
Documents and language
Entry rules for Azerbaijan depend on citizenship and can change — check an official source; if you need a booking confirmation, we will send it. Of the medical papers: recent tests, a discharge summary for any chronic condition, and your medication list. Reception and the medical block work freely in Russian, so the examination and the instructions need no interpreter.
